ProductVision’s Sample Tracking Module provides a tool to track and manage samples sent from the laboratory for customer evaluation. Because it is fully integrated with the Formula Management Module, it is easy to find formulas with specific characteristics (for example, a Kosher compliant lemon flavor) sampled over a specific time frame, for specific customers, or on behalf of a specific sales person.

The Sample Tracking Module can also print cover letters and labels and allows input of extensive feedback on the samples.  In addition, you can check the status of a sample shipment at any time directly inside of ProductVision. So when your customer calls to check the status of a sample request, you can provide a quick and accurate response.

Easy to Access Information
The Sample Tracking Module is accessible for items assigned to projects or directly from the formula or raw material via a toolbar button. The Sample window allows you to capture the critical information associated with the sample(s), organized in various tabs. General information about the customer, initiator, request date, and status are entered on the Main tab with key information about the sample itself on the Sample Info tab.
 

Extensive query capabilities allow you to track the lot number, usage level, and sample pricing in addition to the specifics of when, how, and to whom it was sent. Because the sample information is associated with a formula or raw material, you can also access any other information about that item.
 

And with the power of User Defined Reports, you can automatically generate a custom cover letter and/or labels to go along with the samples. Direct links to various shipping sites on the Shipping tab facilitate sample tracking and ensure that you know that your samples arrived at your customer, as promised.
