ProductVision European
Regulatory Compliance (EU) Module
links seamlessly with the RC module to greatly
simplify compliance with the European Union and other country-specific regulations in Europe. This module allows entry of Risk and Safety
Phrases and trigger levels for each raw material, as specified on the Annex I and IA pages. The MSDS and label generation process
automatically determines the appropriate Risk and Safety phrases, hazard symbols, and
named substances which should be included on the regulatory documents for your products. Regulatory documents can be created in all of the
EU official languages plus, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Danish, Dutch,
Finnish, Swedish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Norwegian, Czechian, Russian, and Polish.
Simplifies
Compliance with EU Regulations
Assignment of the necessary Risk and Safety
Phrases to raw materials is designed to mimic the format of the Annex I pages, making your
data entry tasks easier. Combination
phrases are handled automatically by the system, so that you always end up with the
minimum number of statements necessary on your regulatory documents. Likewise, conflicting hazard symbols are
removed by the system.
Provides the Information You Need
All
of the information used to determine the final document is available to the user. The formula composition, expanded to the lowest
level, is accessible for each revision. Details
for the Total Fractional Value calculations for Risk phrases show which raw
materials caused a Risk statement to be assigned. The
source phrases that resulted in combined phrases are also identified. This information is critical when
determining the proper output using the EU regulations.
Regulatory Assessment Properties Aid in Product
Formulation
The
EU
Module allows you to create regulatory assessment
properties which provide an immediate rating of the hazards presented by
the product during product formulation.
This allows the
chemist to vary product formulations, as necessary, to reduce the
reported hazards.

As
shown above, you can view the current hazards for the product without
leaving the formulation screen or creating a regulatory document.
Calculation
Routines for Other Regulations
The
EU
Module provides calculation routines used to determine a products regulatory status,
including UN Number, Anhang IV Number, ADR Item and Class, TA Luft, German Water
Endangering Class, LGK Class, and several others. Additional
fields may be easily added utilizing the powerful user-defined property system available
in ProductVision.
Software is Updated for Future Regulation Changes
ASD keeps abreast of current and future regulations,
including REACH and GHS (Global Harmonization), and updates the
software, if necessary, to help you comply with these new regulations.
