Regulatory Compliance Module
Home / ProductVision® / Regulatory Compliance Module
The ProductVision Regulatory Compliance Module greatly simplifies compliance with hazardous communication regulations. The Regulatory Compliance Module automatically generates raw material and formula-driven Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels, which meet or exceed reporting regulations, worldwide, including the GHS (Global Harmonization System) regulations in the U.S., Europe and elsewhere.
The Regulatory Compliance Module also tracks customer SDS mailings, necessary for U.S.
and European customers. Documents are produced in Adobe PDF format, greatly simplifying distribution both internally and externally. When combined with the additional EU Poisons module, ProductVision can also manage EU poison center submissions.
Module Features
Simplifies Compliance with GHS and EU Regulations
The Regulatory Compliance Module includes support for all aspects of GHS, including Hazard Classes, Categories, Pictograms, Hazard and Precautionary Statements and Signal Words. ProductVision automatically determines the proper GHS assessment based upon the properties of the components in the product, the product composition, and attributes of the product itself.
Unlimited Document Flexibility and User Control
ProductVision Regulatory Compliance allows you to create multi-language and multi-format SDSs and labels. For example, users may specify creation of a U.S. GHS SDS in English, a Chinese GHS format in Simplified Chinese, and a Swiss CLP format in German, all for the same product. ProductVision’s visual SDS and label creation routines simplify compliance with differing regulations and customer requirements. To further extend the flexibility of the system, all hazard and property information is user-definable, thus ensuring compliance, as regulations change.
Customizable SDS and Label Presentation
Users may customize the standard SDS/label templates using the standard ProductVision report writer. You may easily include graphic images like corporate logos or product photos, shading, boxes or other elements to highlight important information. The resulting documents can be both functional and attractive, to present the right image for your company. Labels are created and printed in a production environment, in conjunction with the industry-leading BarTender labeling software.
Developed Exclusively for Process Manufacturers
ProductVision’s Regulatory Compliance Module was designed specifically for the special needs of formula-based process manufacturers. SDSs are automatically created based upon raw material and formula properties. Whenever a formula is revised, ProductVision flags the associated SDS for regeneration and determines whether a new SDS revision is required. Any differences between SDS revisions are reported to the user. All SDS revisions are immediately logged. RC also easily handles creation of SDSs for products which undergo chemical reactions and/or have co-products or by-products.
Simplify Resource Data Input Using Our Integration to Regulatory Databases
The ProductVision Ariel-3E and ChemADVISOR LOLI Interface Modules allows users to view and extract information directly from these comprehensive regulatory databases.
Determine GHS Assessments While Formulating
The Graphical Regulatory window details the GHS assessment for the current formula, at the touch of a button, to ensure that your products meet your expected regulatory requirements BEFORE they are commercialized.
Multiple Language Support
The Regulatory Compliance Module includes multiple language translation and is fully Unicode compliant, providing support for “double-byte” languages such as Arabic, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Multiple languages may be assigned to each individual user.
ProductVision provides several options for outputting regulatory information. SDSs, labels, and reports may be sent to a printer or fax, viewed on-screen, or saved in Adobe PDF file format or SDSs may be distributed using the Regulatory Publishing Module.

EU Poison Center submissions
The ProductVision EU Poisons Module gives the user the ability to make the required submissions to ECHA in the proper Poison Centers Notification format (PCN) for their products. Once configured, ProductVision utilizes the System-to-system service to electronically submit your formulas directly to ECHA as a PCN submission. ProductVision also generates the UFI code automatically. Any relevant changes on the formula are detected, and ProductVision only makes a new submission when required. Manually, this process would be very time-consuming. ProductVision records the history of each submission so they can be quickly reviewed later if needed. ProductVision’s EU Poisons Module will quickly and accurately ensure that your poisons submissions are made correctly.
