Support and Implementation Services

The ProductVision system is designed for rapid deployment and implementation.

The ASD Support Team realizes that each implementation is unique.  To meet your organization’s goals, we have developed a flexible implementation plan.  The plan is tailored to each company’s unique requirements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of your product development team.

Our implementation agenda is broken into six phases:

I. Requirements Analysis
II. Planning
III. Design
IV. Configuration
V. Training
VI. Acceptance

While implementation times vary based on each organization’s requirements, on average, Advanced Software Designs prides itself on successfully completing this agenda in four months – between 33 to 50 percent quicker than noted industry standards. Browse our customer page (with links to customers' websites) and see for yourself who has participated in and shaped our implementation plan.

Support Services

Our support team is committed to the goal of making every customer a reference for ProductVision.  To achieve that goal, we provide the following services:

  • One-Hour Turnaround Phone Support:   When you call for help with ProductVision, we will either speak to you immediately, or within one hour we will reply to your call with either a proposed solution or a timeline as to when you can expect a solution.
  • Interactive Support:  This service is offered for those clients who provide us with remote access to their systems, utilizing technologies such as Citrix, Remote Desktop, WebEx, or other related remote support technologies.   Using these tools, we can connect to your network and work on issues directly or in the case of usage issues; we can provide quick tutorial sessions, where we can direct immediate instruction to the user(s) who need it most.
  • Customized Reference Guides:   Should your organization request a customized ProductVision solution, a customization team made up of one support and one development team member will be assigned to the initial specification development process.  Once a solution is approved and developed, your organization will receive a guide that notes each proposed and approved customization.  This document also includes instructions on how to implement and use a customization.  This document provides your organization and our support team an updated source of information about your specific system, which allows us to immediately ascertain the state of your system and rapidly develop solutions to open issues.
  • Training:    ASD has created several training programs to allow you to rapidly start benefiting from your ProductVision investment.   Training can be conducted at the customer site or at the nearest ASD office.  Our training plans are flexible and can be utilized to either ‘train a trainer’ or educate a group of ProductVision users.
  • Data Transfer:   ProductVision is written with standard “data-ports” to make it easier to import legacy data into the system and later transfer information to outside systems, such as ERP systems.  These modules are “data-driven” so they are highly tailorable by the user.  If your organization purchases these modules, our support team can address specific questions related to incorporating data from external sources.    This flexible and powerful system includes:
    • User definability of what information will be included in the integration and what format to use (SQL, XML, Excel, flat-file, etc.)
    • User defined scheduling of when and how often the integration jobs will run (or they can be set to run continuously or run when an "event" is triggered)
    • Handshaking -- acknowledgments between systems to confirm the the desired information has been correctly sent and received
