ProductVision’s Project Tracking Module provides the tools you need to track and control R&D projects. This flexible module has functions which allow you to automate many different project types including new product development, raw material evaluations, and competitive analysis.
The Projects Module tracks objectives, activities, and costs associated with your product development and other processes. In combination with our Book Module, you can rapidly create electronic lab notebooks which complement or replace your current manual lab notebooks.
The Workflow Module also automates workflow approval processes that are commonly encountered in product development. This may include new product creation, reformulation projects, competitive analysis studies, and raw material replacement projects. Finally, the Workflow Module allows you to integrate and optimize your business processes, providing increased efficiency and accountability. Any number of unique workflow processes can be created that reflect your specific business needs.
Module Features
Tracking of R&D Projects
Users may create projects with an unlimited number of dependent “sub-projects”. The Workflow Module may be used to automate the project workflow. For example, let’s assume you want to develop a new product based upon a customer request. For this, you might want to create related “sub-projects” to track tasks by the different departments, including Marketing, Research & Development, Production, and Legal. Each level of the project may have independent requirements, tracking dates, tasks, specifications, costs, and workflows.
Execute One or More Workflow Processes Simultaneously on a Project
ProductVision allows you to model your workflow processes and implement them on a Project. As the workflow process runs, participants are notified via Tasks that actions need to be completed.
Easily Verify that Products Developed on the Project Meet Specifications
The Projects Module allows you to compare Specifications for the Project to the attributes of products created during the project. As formulas are developed, the program tracks the formula attributes and compares them to specifications entered on the project. Formulas which are out of specification are identified in RED for easy identification.
Quickly Calculate “Worst-Case” Compositions for a Group of Products
You can easily determine the average, minimum, and maximum percentages of ingredients contained in project formulas on the Composition tab. The calculated composition can then be used to create product line Material Safety Data Sheets and/or Nutrition Declarations.
