Comprehensive Document Management with ProductVision®
The Document Management Module enables you to manage external documents, such as Adobe PDF files, Microsoft Office documents, and images. In addition to the document itself, the Document Management module integrates seamlessly with other ProductVision features, such as additional fields or approval workflows. For example, you could store metadata with the document, such as an approval date.
In addition, the Document Management Module enables you to merge a group of documents or images into a single "master" Book document created as an Adobe PDF file. In the Personal Care and Cosmetics industries, the Book Module simplifies the creation of Product Information File documents, incorporating all necessary GMP, SDS, SOP, and testing requirements. This module can also create electronic Lab Notebooks that include all projects, formulas, testing, and other relevant information.

Designed for Maximum Flexibility
You can create books for items like Formulas, Resources, Projects, and Trading Partners. Set up a book by making a simple template that specifies the included documents, reports, images, and other items. Assign the template to an item, and it automatically populates with the required information, producing a finished PDF book.
Document Management Features
Much of the information detailed in a book is contained in documents stored within the ProductVision database or externally. Documents in ProductVision may be attached to multiple items. The module also manages document versioning and security and includes metadata that can be queried.
